Overview

The IEEE Egyptian Student Branches Officers Meeting – Q1 2026 was held at Obour University for Science and Technology, hosted by one of the most active Student Branches, IEEE Obour Engineering Student Branch. As the first meeting of the year, this edition played a crucial role in setting the direction for Student Branches across Egypt. It brought together Student Branch Officers and Chapter / Affinity Group officers to participate in a series of focused sessions covering key IEEE topics. The meeting featured a variety of sessions, including introductions to IEEE SSCS Society, officer leadership development, Student Branch validity requirements and vTools overview, IEEE MGA Awards, Student Branch operations and organization, and membership development. A highlight of this edition was the IEEE Egyptian Student Branches Poster Session, introduced for the first time, where branches showcased their work and achievements. This created a valuable opportunity for participants to experience real competition, exchange ideas, and gain insights from each other. This edition stood out as one of the most impactful Officers Meetings in 2026, providing a strong start to the year and equipping participants with the knowledge and perspective needed to lead their branches effectively.
